Core Business Challenge

In e-commerce, the sheer volume of products and UI components creates a combinatorial explosion. A single designer or team cannot possibly create unique, optimized layouts for every product page; they are often left facing a blank page at an impossible scale. This leads to inconsistent designs, missed conversion opportunities, and a reactive process where insights only come after a design has failed in the market. E-commerce companies need an in-house system that enables designers with upfront insights to create effective, unique pages without starting from scratch.

My Role & Responsibilities

This project was bigger than just building an app; it was about molding a new reality for how designers work. My responsibilities were to:

  • Act as a Product Visionary, identifying how AI could fundamentally change the design process to make my fellow designers’ lives easier and their work more impactful.

  • Serve as the Product Strategist and UX/UI Designer, defining the product vision and designing the end-to-end experience that would bring this new paradigm to life.

The Vision: Closing the Loop — Insights Before Design

My vision is to change the design paradigm. Today, the process is a slow, reactive loop: designers create, users interact, and only then do we get insights. I believe we can use AI to close this loop by providing data-driven insights before the design process even begins.

This creates a new reality where the system acts as a co-pilot, enabling designers to create near-perfect, mistake-less designs in a fraction of the time. It’s about safeguarding designers from repetitive guesswork and empowering them to be more strategic—molding the future of the design job itself.

The Breakthrough: The “Page Score”

The breakthrough was the concept of the “Page Score.” This gamified, quantifiable metric provides an instant feedback loop, making the vision tangible. It turns the abstract goal of “improving CVR” into an interactive design challenge, transforming the tool from a simple canvas into a platform for both creation and learning.

The Solution: An AI Co-pilot for High-Conversion E-commerce Design

The final product is a functional prototype that brings this vision to life with three core elements:

  1. Curated Component Library: A library of best-practice e-commerce components that serve as the building blocks for high-quality design.

  2. Visual Canvas: A drag-and-drop interface where designers can assemble components into a complete product page layout.

  3. AI Insights Engine: The “brains” of the tool. It provides the real-time “Page Score” and actionable text insights explaining the value of each component, effectively delivering insights before the design is finalized.
